Bridge Inspection

Erickson Engineering provides bridge inspections in two categories:

Specialized Inspections

We conduct specialized bridge inspections to determine the structural integrity of bridges.  Special inspections are scheduled at the discretion of the bridge owner, and are used to monitor a particular known or suspected deficiency.  The bridge inspections include in-depth visual observations of existing conditions, followed by a comprehensive load rating analysis.  These inspections are conducted by our licensed professional engineers.

NBIS Inspections

The revised National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) set forth by the FHWA were put into effect in January 2005.  The NBIS regulations apply to all publicly owned highway bridges longer than 20 feet and located on public roads.  Erickson Engineering’s qualified and licensed engineers conduct NBIS inspections for cities, municipalities, counties, and states per the rules and regulations outlined in the Federal Register.
